A St. Louis man fleeing from cops picked a hiding spot that very few on-the-run criminals would choose – the middle of the police station where officers wanted to take him in the first place.
The man, whose name was withheld pending charges, bolted from his car after a traffic stop and led a foot chase that led directly into the police station – which was marked as such with a very large sign.
Lt. Bryan Ludwig was sitting in his office, looked up and saw a man running at a full sprint towards him. He nabbed the guy and said, "We were joking afterwards because he actually ran towards the jail first and then came back this way. We were joking he should have cut out the
middle man and gone straight to the jail."
