Two employees at John Harris High School in Pennsylvania were placed on paid leave after a verbal argument escalated into a fight Wednesday morning.
The altercation went down between a school safety monitor and a teacher in a classroom, according to a letter released to parents.
Superintendent Eric Turman revealed the teacher had been with the district for about two years, while the safety monitor had been employed for seven years.
The altercation reportedly began when the safety monitor entered the classroom and addressed a “personal concern” with the teacher, leading to the two men punching and wrestling each other to the floor.
Other teachers and even a student tried to break up the brawl.
Though Turman couldn’t go into detail about why the fight happened, he noted that no injuries were reported and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
